Off to the Races

Last Saturday I finally got back into the peloton again at the Wente Road Race in Livermore CA. I had my butt handed to me that's for sure. Pretty much what I expected from my loss of fitness the past few months. It hurt but then again, racing usually does.

Tomorrow I leave super early to drive down to Arizona for the Tour de Bisbee. I have heard good things about this race and it should be a good prep for a spanking at the Gila. I have never been on such a long road trip by myself. I am really happy to have a host family in Bisbee to stay with as I might start going insane talking to myself the entire time. What a boring post, I am so tired, really I should be in bed, have to get up around 5 am tomorrow. Going to miss my family at The Bike Trip in Santa Cruz and of course the Mr. who will be flying down on Sunday to meet me and head over to Silver City NM.

I believe there is a picture of Brent and I cruising along the cliffs in Santa Cruz, random picture of me and the kids (sadly I had to leave them at Grandma's house while I am gone racing), a bizarre picture of Brent cooking up some Easter Sunday steaks in the snow in Reno and a pic Brent took while I was driving (I thought this appropriate as I will be spending the next 16 hours or so in this spot).
