Dog Pile

I feel like I am coming down with a cold so today I decided to take it easy and get a lot of rest. I tried to get comfortable in bed and take a nap. Just as I was falling asleep something woke me up. My Boston Terrier, Chihuahua and kitty decided to all join me on the bed and had pushed up against me on all sides pinning me under the blanket. It's nice to know that my cold can bring such happiness to my pets.

So the Olympics are on and I just can't get enough of that figure skating. Those triple and quadruple flips are crazy. I used to be pretty good at the roller rink, even learned to skate backwards, but my feet didn't leave the ground unless my butt replaced them. It's very impressive, especially when you consider the hours of practice they put in just to prepare for a 2-3 minute program.

Good Night!

Professssional

Brent updated my Blog with a new color and it's so much better looking. Too bad the Professional is misspelled but hey, non-technical types like myself can't complain about those little details.

It's the end of a long week of training and I am looking forward to a day off tomorrow. Unfortunately my back is still sore from my sad attempt to copy some Shakira moves the other night. At least I am not alone in my pain as Jane injured her knee trying to do this Missy Elliot drop to the floor move. When will we learn to just watch MTV instead of trying to live it? Maybe never.

I am counting the days before my Kona Queen Zing arrives! My poor old road bike is feeling it's age as well as my general neglect. Hopefully it can make it a few more weeks. The weather in California is so incredible right now. I get back from a morning of riding in just a jersey and shorts and turn on the TV to see a blizzard in New York. Sucks for them.

The Tour of California starts soon and I am excited to check out a few of the stages and of course root for Team Discovery. The guys are gonna kick butt. It's too bad there is no event at the Cali Tour for the women professional cyclists this year. Perhaps next year the organizers will include events for women as well as the men.

My first race of the season is coming up in a few weeks! My body is really fighting any intensity right now so the race should be good to kick my butt and get my head back in the game. Oh good times will be had, that is certain.
