Still Raining....

California is under siege from the clouds. I can't remember a time when this many days of rain have filled our winter/spring. I thought we paid ridiculous amounts of money to live in the perfect climate! We did get a break from the rain on Saturday and Brent and I cruised around Watsonville for a few hours enjoying the sunshine.

It's getting closer to Sea Otter and there is a buzz in the air in preparation. The riders are all trying to figure out how long it will take to finish the circuit course, the bike shops are trying to figure out how to get into one of the booths, the bike fans are considering whether to skip out of work to go during the week and everyone is hoping it doesn't rain. I am not racing the circuit course at Sea Otter on Saturday but hoping to race the Santa Cruz Criterium on Sunday. I have a couple of good intervals this week in training that should give me an idea of race readiness for Sunday. Still having some issues with power and my back but it would be really nice to get back into racing again.

I really have no new pictures to post but I did find this one last picture before the incident at McLane Pacific. Since I plan on getting back into the pack again this Sunday I think it's fitting to post this picture now.

Oh I almost forgot. Our new sponsor Vanderkitten dropped off some purrrfectly adorable clothes for our Pro Roadie and Mountain teams. I will have Brent take some pictures tomorrow with our new digs and post it on the Blog.
